Utah Valley 5k Frequently Asked Questions
Where does the 5K start? Where does it finish?
The 5K starts and ends in front of Vivint Corporate Offices in Provo (4931 N 300 W, Provo) near the Riverwoods Shopping Center. Click here for the race map.
Are the miles marked?
Yes. We will have signs at each mile.
Where is packet pick-up, and when?
Packet pick-up will be inside the Utah Valley Convention Center (220 W. Center St., Provo) between 10:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. on Friday, June 6, 2025. However, you will want to come well before the end of the expo, so you have your bib number before the race start time of 7:45 PM. The expo is about a 10 minute drive from the 5K starting line, so please plan on being to the expo at least 45 minutes before the start of the 5K to allow for time to get your packet and find parking at both locations.
Is the course chip timed?
Yes. Runners will be timed with chips located on the back side of the bib numbers. It is required that your bib number remain on the front side of your shirt (preferably chest high), so that the mats will read your chip properly. Please do not alter or fold your bib number in any way, so that your chip will be read. At the end of the race you may keep your timing chip.
Are there any discounts to hotels for runners?
Yes. We highly recommend the Provo Marriott that is next door to the Utah Valley Convention Center (where we have our race fitness expo). Click here for details.
Will I need to ride a bus to the starting line?
5K runners will not need to ride the bus as the starting line and finish line are in the same location. The starting line is approximately a 10 minute drive from the fitness expo where you will get your bib number and shirt.
Are strollers allowed?
Strollers are allowed in our 5K and FREE Kids 1k. Strollers must line up at the back of the group at the starting line. Learn more about and register for our 5K and FREE Kids 1k here.
Is there an aid station?
There will be an aid station at the half way mark with sports drink and water.
